Custom school labels in Guadalajara: back-to-school guide
School labels are stickers with a child's name (and sometimes their class or a drawing) to mark notebooks, lunch boxes, bottles, and backpacks so nothing gets lost or mixed up in the classroom. At Yume we make them in water-resistant vinyl, with the design you choose. This guide covers what goes on them, how to order, and when.
What goes on a school label
The basics are the child's name, in large, easy-to-read letters. Many families add the grade or class, plus a drawing or icon (a star, an animal, a color) so younger kids recognize their things before they can read.
You can also add a phone number to the backpack and lunch box labels. Tell us what you want and we send a digital proof before printing.
Which school supplies they go on
The most common are notebooks and books, pencil cases, lunch boxes, water bottles, thermoses, and backpacks. Because the vinyl resists water, sun, and scratches, they hold up on items that get wet, travel a lot, and are cleaned often.
Stick the label on a clean, dry, flat surface rather than on an edge or a seam.
How to order custom school labels
They are quoted on WhatsApp: tell us the name (or names, for siblings), the design you like, and how many pieces you need. Custom vinyl starts at 40 pieces, and the first 100 pieces cost $350.
We send a digital proof, normally within 24 hours of payment, with up to 2 rounds of adjustments. We print nothing without your approval.
When to order and how to receive them
Order a few weeks before the school year starts so there is room to adjust the design and for production and shipping. We produce in Guadalajara; we ship across Mexico, or you can pick up at a Casa Blanca branch in the metro area.
If you already have the supply list, send it and we will help you work out how many labels you need.
